Welcome to our farm!
We are located in beautiful Sonoma County, CA approximately one hour north of San Francisco. We raise purebred Nigerian Dwarf goats, a miniature dairy goat that is known for its great personality, miniature size and high quality milk. This breed also comes in many different colors and patterns which makes them all unique and special.
Our goats are registered with ADGA and can also be registered with AGS and NDGA.
Our goal is to raise quality goats according to breed standards that are correct, friendly, are good milk producers and may be shown in 4H and open goat shows. These goats make great pets, provide delicious milk, are wonderful pasture buddies for other animals and do a great job with weed & brush management. Because of their small size, they can be handled by adults and children and can be leash trained to accompany you on walks. Not only are they adorable and sweet but they provide many valuable services to their owners.
Our goats are selected based on pedigree, personality and results. We are proud to have Castle Rock Farm genetics in our pedigrees.
We show as often as we can and also participate in ADGA Linear Appraisal in order to gain valuable information about our goats from seasoned professionals.
Our goats are tested annually for CAE. We also test for CL and Johnes Disease.
Goat milk is rich in vitamins, is easy to digest and can be used to make many wonderful products such as cheese, yogurt, ice cream, soap and lotion. We make small batches of goat milk soap and lotion that may be available to purchase.
Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for being sweet, sociable animals that make great milkers and great pets for kids and adults of all ages. Their small size requires less space and less cost to maintain and their sweet personalities and athletic ability make for lots of fun entertainment for those lucky enough to share time with them.
Once you meet them, they are hard to resist and you can't help but giggle along with them!
We cannot imagine life on the farm without them!
