Welcome to our Hobby Farm!
We are located in beautiful Sonoma County, CA approximately one hour north of San Francisco. We raise registered purebred Nigerian Dwarf goats, a miniature dairy goat that is known for its great personality, miniature size and high quality milk. This breed also comes in many different colors and patterns which makes them all unique and special.
Our goats are registered with ADGA and may also be registered with AGS and NDGA.
Our goal is to be a responsible breeder and raise quality goats according to breed standards who are quality milkers. We breed for show quality with pedigrees containing many show champions and production award winners. We usually have kids available and occasionally have mature goats for sale; see the website or contact us for more information.
Our goats come from excellent blood lines and are selected based on pedigree, performance results, confirmation and milking ability. We are proud to have Castle Rock Farm, Curbstone Valley Farm, Lil Miss B Haven and Camanna's Petite Paradise genetics in our pedigrees.
These little goats make great pets, provide delicious milk, are wonderful pasture buddies for other animals and do a great job with weed & brush management. Because of their small size, they can be handled by adults and children and can be leash trained to accompany you on walks. Not only are they adorable and sweet but they provide many valuable services to their owners.
We love hanging out with our goats and attend 4-H and open goat shows as often as we can. We also participate in ADGA Linear Appraisal in order to gain valuable information about our goats from independent and seasoned professionals. Due to our busy schedules, we have not participated in DHIA but hope that we will be able to sometime in the future.
Our goats are tested annually for CAE. We also test for CL and Johnes Disease.
Goat milk is rich in vitamins, is easy to digest and can be used for many things; we use the milk from our goats to make cheese, yogurt, ice cream, soap and lotion. And don't let their size fool you - these miniature goats can produce quite a bit of milk, averaging approximately 2.5+ pounds of milk per day. And the milk tastes great - most can't tell the difference between cows milk - and you get all of the benefits without the tummy troubles that many have when drinking cows milk.
Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for being sweet, smart, & sociable animals that make great milkers and great pets for kids and adults of all ages. Their small size requires less space and less cost to maintain and their sweet personalities and athletic ability make for lots of fun entertainment for those lucky enough to share time with them.
Once you meet them, they are hard to resist and you can't help but giggle along with them!
We cannot imagine life on the farm without them!
You can contact us if you have questions, are interested in one of our goats, or would like to schedule a visit to the farm.
Please no drop ins.
